HANNAH & GRAEME
ARE GETTING MARRIED
THE OAK GROVE, SUNNY KENT, SUNDAY 25th AUGUST 2019
Wales and England.
A rivalry as old as time cast to one side in the name of life, laughter and love.
We'd love you to come and celebrate our day with us.

(Just don't mention the rugby).
Rydym yn priodi!

TRAVEL & SLEEPING
TRANSPORTATION
The venue is about 15 minutes from J4 of the M2, and there's plenty of parking on site.

The nearest train station is Rainham (Kent) which is around 45 minutes from St Pancras and an hour from Victoria (although you might want to check Sunday engineering work nearer the time).

Local cabs are available if booked in advance (Rainham Cabs are on 01634 233333) and if you're lucky you might get an Uber, but we wouldn't rely on it. This isn't London or Cardiff...
ACCOMMODATION
There are a number of places to stay locally. The closest town is Rainham (around a ten to fifteen minute drive) and you'll find a Premier Inn there, along with a few other B&Bs etc.
For a more interesting stay you might want to look at the seaside town of Whitstable, which is a 40 minute drive or a short train journey away (around half an hour, usual Sunday service caveats apply). It's probably £30-40 in a cab. There, you'll find a number of rather nice B&Bs, hotels and various accommodation options.

Similarly, our home town of Faversham is beautiful and has a number of pubs offering B&B accommodation. Faversham's about a twenty-five minute drive from the venue. The Sun is lovely old 14th century Shepherd Neame pub (the oldest brewery in the country and still based in Faversham) and has a few rooms that you can stay in. Early booking is strongly recommended.

For an even longer list of options, have a look at the venue's pretty exhaustive round-up here.

WHAT, WHEN & WHERE
Weddings are often stuffy old things.
This one won't be.

Of course, Hannah will be wearing a wedding gown.

But Graeme will be wearing a pair of jeans.
New, mind.

(Though he will ditch the Nikes for one day).

So don't feel the need to go too formal.

Wear what makes you feel good.

Also: it's an outdoors wedding,
so fingers crossed for sun folks.

Kids aren't just welcome, they're encouraged.

We want this to be a proper family day.
But adults, you'll be able to relax.
There'll be loads to keep the little ones entertained.
We'll even have 'wedding nannies' to lend a hand.

Before you ask, yes. There will be booze.
El vino will flow.
(As will plenty of non-alcoholic treats too, obviously).
If you're still around the day after,
we'll be meeting on the
beach for fish and chips in Whitstable
at some point early afternoon.
If you're around and you fancy it, let us
know and we'll give you the details.
